[ISLMA-Share] High School Libraries: Lunch Students

We started allowing lunch in the library several years ago after I found a girl sitting on the bathroom floor eating because the cafeteria was too overwhelming for her. We allow a "clean lunch - no sauces, nothing fried, greasy or smelly". Yes, we do have to have more trash cans. Yes, we do have to clean up sometimes. Yes, occasionally we close the library for lunches if it gets too messy. But, for us it has been worthwhile.

Subject: [ISLMA-Share] High School Libraries: Lunch Students

Good Afternoon,

If you allow lunch students to eat in your library, or have in the past and reverted back to not allowing food, I am interested in hearing about your rules and experiences. Thank you in advance.
