[ISLMA-Share] "Average" size collection for 420 student middle school

[Email list for the Illinois School Library Media Association]

Hi all!

My library got renovated during the summer and today the company came to
put all my books back on the shelves. Lo and behold, there are not enough
shelves! We are 26 shelves short! Which led the project manager on the
business end to ask me if I am perhaps a bit "heavy" on books?

Can anyone tell me what your collection number is for a middle school with
around 430 students? I have 10,000 books.
