[ISLMA-Share] Newbie Questions -- Privacy and Volunteers

Susan,
Congratulations! What school are you in? 
I am hearing this type of situation more and more. My concern is that there is not a Librarian in the library to help the students with book selection.  Also, those conversations during selection and checkout are so extremely important for making connections and learning what the students are reading as well as what their needs are. 

Would be interesting to hear what others think about this type of situation where the librarian is mostly in the classrooms and not in the library?
