My deepest condolences.  I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child and then caring for her beautiful babies.  I too am a stranger, but am a mother and educator, so we have that in common.  Please know that my heart goes out to you and I will keep you in prayer!

I received the Monarch Award this year and I am very grateful.  However, a new librarian will be taking my place unexpectedly.  My daughter has recently passed away and I will be caring for my grandchildren in her place.  I have resigned from my position.  My replacement librarian I am sure will be just as grateful for this grant.

I received word over the weekend that my grant application to the LBSS/ISLMA Endowment Fund will be funded.  Getting a free set of Monarch books will go a long way in making sure that all of our students get a chance to read the books and cast an informed vote in March.  And, of course, have access to 20 new and wonderful books!
