[ISLMA-Share] how damaged are books before you ask students to replace them?

That one shouldn't go back on the shelf!

My rule of thumb is:
if pages are missing
if it has had unidentified fluids on it
if it has food on it
if I've already glued and taped it back together 3 times
if I would be horrified if my kid brought it home
it's gone.
