I have a "Caudill Club."  Each month, students meet and discuss what Caudills they have read.  We have an alliterative theme... our last meeting was Caudills and Chocolate Milk (from Oberweiss)  Our next meeting is Caudills and Cake!  The students love having a treat, no matter now small, and they get super excited to talk about the books when there is food involved... just a thought...

This year, I have more than 40 kids in the club.  I started this three years ago with like 6 kids.  Last year, I had about 15.  Every year is different :)

I am finding the same thing; however, I did add read three Caudills before the start of the school year and get a free book at the fall book fair.  I gave out over 80 free books.

Good Afternoon,

I teach 5-8 graders and each year we do a big Caudill challenge. Each year it seems to get harder and harder to get the students to read the books on this list. Is anyone else having a similar problem or is it just my students?
