I’m far from the expert, but I would think that if the movie is covered under the movie license agreement, that it doesn’t matter where you get the movie from as long as it is from a legitimate vendor. In essence, you have already purchased the licensing agreement to show it publicly.

I have a question along the same line ---

What if I have a teacher who actually purchased a digital movie from Amazon. Is this allowed in the school? (Note, we do have a movie license for our school.)

Thank you,

I'm not sure about Amazon Prime, but Netflix is explicit in their terms of service that accounts are only meant to be used for private use and not public viewing. However, they make an exception that "some Original educational documentaries are available for one-time educational screenings."

Just a few weeks ago someone was asking about Netflix/Amazon Prime viewing in the classroom. I thought I had saved the email with a link to the story about it or info about the use, but am not finding it. Did anyone else save the info and can share. Thanks so much!
