Both Eric Rohmann and Candice Fleming live in the area.

Sally Walker (non-fiction writer) lives closer to DeKalb, but she only
charged us $500 for an evening event about six or seven years ago.  Sally
was awesome.  She also brings samples of book pages in different stages of
the printing process so kids can see how books are made and assembled.
