[aisle] [External] 2021 Caudills

I encourage students and parents to look at the original list printed by
the committee that has grade recommendations for the titles. Drum Roll,
Please is recommended for grades 5-8.  Drum Roll, Please has been a very
important read to some of my middle school girls. Let’s not prevent such
books from being on the list because of Santa Claus. Maybe kids in 3-5
should consider reading Bluestems instead.  I am our middle school
librarian and read all of the Caudills each spring and make recommendations
to the elementary purchaser on titles that are more elementary versus those
that are more solidly middle school.
