[aisle] middle school lessons-reliable/authentic resources

Hi!

I have for several years done some work with the students leading up to
giving them a picture and they have to tell me if it is true or not. Mostly
I have generated these pictures and they are all from Snopes.com (the
stories behind them.) Typically the students are in groups of 4 and work on
this collaboratively.

I'll link the watered down version that I developed for remote learning and
I'll attach a few of the pictures that I've used to give you an idea.

I also did two google forms for when we were fully remote on evaluation of
information (maybe not quite what you are looking for, but you might get
some ideas from it.) One form takes the same story but has the students
evaluate which source gave them MORE information (website, video, or
article) and the other has them watch a video and then answer some
questions about how we deal with information in general.

I'd love to see what others have done too!

Great question! If you need to know anything more about what I've created,
just let me know or if you are having trouble accessing something.

Tasha
