[aisle] Book recommendations

Hi all!

I am working on a new unit with my 7th grade ELA teachers and we are
looking for some additional recommendations for historical fiction novels.
Here is the tricky part. It HAS to have the main character guided by a
cause, and not just for themselves, but for others AND we are avoiding
anything WWII/Holocaust related because our 8th grade focuses so heavily on
that.

Any help would be SUPER greatly appreciated!
