[aisle] Please Help Name this Book

 I also think he may be mixing books.  He said it is not Last Kids on Earth.  We don't have Monsterstreet or Notebook of Doom, but those seem like possibilities. Thanks for the ideas everyone!

 It sounds a little like The Last kids on Earth series, but not exactly. He could be mixing up a few different books in his memory. The hideout is a treehouse and they are hunting new monsters all the time, he has a journal where he draws and keeps track of all the new. ones. I’m curious what book he is thinking of.
