That is definitely not something your teacher wants to be promoting to
kids. Sites like this are hosted out of the country, anonymously. There
used to be one just like this called Ebook Bike. Authors fought it for
years, playing whack-a-mole with web hosting companies, until they were
finally able to bury the site owner in legal fees and he gave up. The DMCA
statement is smoke and mirrors. It’s completely illegal. You probably can’t
get in legal trouble for using it, but you can for promoting it to kids. An
author would have a very strong case for a lawsuit.
