[aisle] What Grades Go Into the Stacks?

Our K/1 come weekly for a story or lesson, and checkout. I asked for 40
minutes with each class, but much of the time only get 30 -
new requirements for outdoor time have to come from somewhere. I let their
teachers determine how many books, up to 3, each class can check out (most
are still on 1 at this point in time). They have access to the whole
library - I want them to feel entitled to read anything and everything..
The teachers tend to guide them to picture books, and I help them with
nonfiction. They all got a hands-on lesson in using spacers, but of course
a week is a long time to remember...
