     Lake Forest Community High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute
   Librarian for the approximate dates of December 10, 2021 through March 4,
   2022.

   *Description: *The Librarian promotes and supports student and
   professional learning and creates a welcoming space that fosters
   intellectual curiosity. The Librarian is a master collaborator who partners
   with classroom teachers to design, teach, and assess learning experiences
   that incorporate inquiry learning, information literacy, critical thinking,
   and self-assessment. They have familiarity with current library technology
   and databases, as well as knowledge of print, reference, and young adult
   resources. The Librarian demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships
   with students, staff, and parents, as well as flexibility, creativity,
   initiative, and dependability.

   *Responsibilities:*
      - Empower students and teachers to be enthusiastic readers, skillful
      researchers, and ethical users of information
      - Foster a creative, flexible library environment that serves student
      and professional learning
      - Provide leadership and expertise in the selection, acquisition,
      evaluation, and organization of information resources
      - Evaluate, plan, promote, and use existing technologies to support
      effective teaching and learning
      - Inspire new ideas and incorporate trends that reflect a modern
      library space that meets and exceeds the changing learning styles of
      students.
      - Use strategic planning for the continuous improvement of the school
      library program
      - Administer the library budget to support program goals
      - Use effective management principles, including the supervision of
      personnel, resources, and facilities, in developing and implementing
      program goals and objectives

   *Qualifications:*
      - Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) registered in Lake
      County with a Library Media Specialist endorsement
      - Master’s Degree from a program accredited by the American Library
      Association or a program in Library and Information Studies
