[aisle] Battle of the Books - "buzzing in" and best practices

I've held a Battle of the Books for over 20 years and haven't ever done a
buzz-in. I worry about kids with slower reflexes vs. kids with faster
reflexes. I want all kids and teams to have the same opportunity to answer
the questions. My kids answer on a Google form and they all have 30
seconds to answer. I haven't had any issues with kids feeling like the
answer process was unfair, and even kids with slower processing skills were
able to answer the questions in that time.

Before the days of Google forms, each team got a booklet with 25 answer
sheets in it. Again, everyone had 30 seconds to answer the questions.
