Here is what the CREW manual says about medical information:
"Weed ruthlessly when it comes to current medical practices.
Patrons rely on up-to-date information and outdated
information can be dangerous."
Regularly review books on fast changing topics, such as AIDS,
fertility, cancer, and genetics to ensure that the information is up-to-date and accurate. Anatomy and Physiology do not change as rapidly as other topics."

I would air on the side of weeding them because it would be very hard to tell what is up-to-date information on these diseases.

Do your students have access to databases that cover these topics? We've made a move toward databases because they are updated regularly, without us needing to replace physical materials.

Make your best argument for keeping or weeding the material described below.

20 year old Diseases and Disorders series & Lucent Overview series on topics such as Diabetes, Phobias, Autism, Obesity, Cancer, Eating Disorders, Depression, ADD and Epilepsy. Appearance, layout, definitions and factual data is ok. I assume that treatment and future expectations are outdated. Last used 3 years ago for science presentations. To be fair we've been out for COVID and starting on our 4th science teacher since then so I have no idea if students will do that report again. There's no other material in the library on these topics and no money to replace them.
