The award was established in 2018 to recognize school libraries throughout
the state of Illinois that exemplify the standards set forth in Linking for
Learning. The award is presented to school libraries in public, private,
or charter schools and is not intended to recognize districts or individual
librarians.

These librarians and their administrators all provided evidence that
demonstrates an exemplary program and reflects the library standards
supported by AISLE and the Illinois State Board of Education. The award
will be presented to the School Libraries at upcoming school board meetings
and they will also be recognized at the annual AISLE Conference on November
4, 2022.

More information on this award can be found on the AISLE web pages under
the Awards tab.
