Happy World Read Aloud Day Margo and everyone else!!!

Due to standardized testing, my school celebrated WRAD yesterday. I'm glad that I'm not the only one bringing in outside dignitaries.  Great job on subtly advocating for school libraries and reading.

Just to brag, this year, we used ZOOM to bring in a dozen or community leaders. We had our State Comptroller, our State Senator, our State Representative, our mayor, our city clerk, 2 of our village trustees, our fire chief, our police chief, our director of the public library, our school superintendent, our director of curriculum, the president of the Chambers of Commerce.

In this profession, advocating is critical. I really appreciate this opportunity to invite the decision makers in and pray that I'll never need the positive relationships I'm creating.
