[aisle] Elementary Non-fiction Arrangement

This is the first year I’ve used bins in nonfiction and the kids and I love
it. The most requested topics are now in a bin with a picture and word
label. It drives me a little crazy that the bins may not be in perfect
order but rather in the order that makes best use of the space. I have tubs
for Outer Space, Rocks & Minerals, Weather, Military (300 & 600), different
animal tubs, different sport tubs, Magic School Bus, Jokes, Titanic and
many others. I continue to add as I find more groupings. I don’t know how
this will work with your space issue but I’m using the same footprint as
before. In some ways it’s easier for the students since there isn’t an
entire shelf of books sliding around as they try to look. Reshelving is a
breeze!
