[aisle] Age appropriate book question for middle school

I'm new to my K-12 position (high school only before) and I work in a
conservative district. Right now my policy is that I buy it for 7th/8th
grade if it is recommended for those grades. If it's recommended for
grades 9-12, I will only buy it if my clerk, a trusted teacher friend or I
have actually read the book and can attest to it being appropriate for
younger students. I have a small budget; I know this might not be
practical if you're ordering larger numbers of books. I borrow copies from
the local library if I want to read something before ordering.
