[aisle] Age appropriate book question for middle school

Hi All,

I am in a 7/8 grade middle school and I have this book on the shelf and
I've read it too! :) I looked back to see when I've booktalked it, and I
see I did it for 7th grade, so I must not have thought anything was too
questionable in it. I did booktalk it back in 2012, so I don't have a huge
recollection of it but I don't seem to recall being concerned with it.

I agree that I rely on what reviews say, and I need at least two reviewing
sources putting it in 8th grade or 14 and up to put it in my collection,
typically. I just checked and this particular books in Booklist, School
Library Journal and Kirkus all put it at 7th grade and up or 12 and up, so
I would feel comfortable with this book on a middle school shelf for sure.
And having read it and booktalked it and had it on my shelf for at least 10
years, I'm good with it! :)

Hope that helps!
Tasha
