[aisle] Holiday decorations/display

Hi Gina,
  I do two things consciously...
  1. I do decorate for Christmas (what I can, which isn't all that much). I
think Christmas is a cultural holiday in America and not only a religious
one. Many folks celebrate Christmas as a holiday and do not attend a church
or celebrate it as a religious event. I work in an ethnically diverse
district with newcomers, and many have stated they enjoyed the experience
of seeing decorations. People don't have to be ashamed for celebrating a
holiday in the same way that they don't need to be ashamed for not.
Pretending something doesn't exist just makes it awkward.

 2. I have a large display recognizing and providing information about
other religious and cultural celebrations that take place in the winter.
Because it is always good to learn more about each other.

So I guess I try to keep it balanced.
