Hi!

Is the teacher looking for books that are around the Harlem Renaissance
time as well? And honestly, I'm trying to think of some middle school
titles, but a lot of them have swear words as well as the "N" word too, so
unfortunately, you might have to look even lower down to find books without
anything.

Of course, I thought of *Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry,* but that for sure
has the N word in it. But it is around the time the teacher is talking
about so that is a plus. I can give you a ton of books written by authors
of color for middle school, but once again, just wondering if you need the
books to be around the time of the Harlem Renaissance.

Thanks!
Tasha
