Hey All,

Does anyone have a weeding policy or a collection development policy they would be willing to share? When I asked the district to change the setting so that I can delete copies in Destiny, I got this response:

Deleting books/items is essentially removing monetary value from the district that may or may not be there. If it's decided that T&L would like to provide that option to Library Media Specialists for correcting library inventories then I can provide that.

They said they would talk with us so that we would all be on the same page. I don't know what all they have in mind on their end but I would like to give them an idea what other schools do. We're a K-8 school district. I don't know what has been done in the past if anything in terms of weeding. I sent a link to them with basic information about weeding but I'd like to bring an actual policy of what others do as an example.

If anyone has anything that they could share you can email me off list. Thanks in advance!
