Good morning,

Does ALA, ALSC, AASL, AISLE, or any other professional school librarian
association have research and data driven staffing level recommendations
for school libraries?

In addition, how many students are in your school and how many staff do you
have staffing your library? What duties are you responsible for including
how many classes do you teach? How many lunch/recess/etc. duties do you
have?
Are you in a district where you create and share lesson plans among
teaching librarians or are you the sole person responsible for doing so? Do
you use any set curriculum? Do you co teach with any colleagues? Do you
teach information literacy and/or digital citizenship?
Are you solely responsible for collection management including selecting,
purchasing, processing, and cataloging new materials along with weeding? Do
you provide access to electronic resources including ebooks and databases?
Do you organize/plan programs including author visits, holiday programs,
etc.?
I am specifically looking for K8 information but would love to hear from
anyone :).

Thank you,
Rebecca Dougherty, MLS
