Here's a description of ways we've used QR Codes that link to book talks, book trailers, and book reviews in our library. (We don't stick the QR codes on the book covers anymore. That was just for display to introduce the concept.)

Often times, we choose to read books based on recommendations of friends. The same holds true for students. But what if we could expan...

Students are mostly excited to know their peers will have access to their work. I don't often see students scan the QR Codes, but I often tell students to consider a shelf tag (appears in bottom photo) a peer recommendation for a book.

We use Vocaroo.com to create .mp3 files for book talks. We use WeVideo (paid subscription at our school) for book trailers.

I am unfamiliar with Screencastify. Do you use the free version? How do your students create the videos? Could you share some of your QR codes, so I can get an idea of them. I would love to have my students make videos of the new Caudills and Monarchs this spring. We are a Google school, so this sounds like a great option.

I would love to but cell phones usage is not allowed in my school. If it were different I would definitely post them in my LMC. Bookmarks are a good idea.

A teacher and I were discussing having students create book reviews using Screencastify, then posting a QR codes to the videos for others to see. We thought about posting the codes as a display in the library or about putting each one on a bookmark in the corresponding book, etc. Does anyone use QR codes on books? Any other ideas out there?

Thanks in advance!
