[ISLMA-Share] Making new book covers

I'm in a high school, and this is a project that I work with an art teacher
and her Graphic Design classes on! I give a presentation on the goals of
cover art, trends in YA cover design, pet peeves of cover design, how the
gender of the author can be a factor, etc. Then students are challenged to
redesign a cover for a book that they don't believe accurately represents
the story within. We haven't printed them and put them on books, but we do
mount them on foam board and it's one of our most popular displays every
year! This also goes up at the same time as we have a display highlighting
"Don't judge these books by their terrible covers" which are great stories,
but often dated covers.

Email me off list if you're interested in the presentation!
