The schedule for v-learning that my district sent out gave each specials teacher a different day, my day is Thursday. My hope is that the kids will check more often if I push more out. Fingers crossed. Now I just have to figure out how to pace myself, today is day one and I could easily sent 10 separate notes (links, adssignments, whatever you want to call them!)

Carolyn

Our district went 1 to 1 this year so the kids all have their devices at home. I use SeeSaw with the younger kids and Google classroom with the olders. I didn’t use them much during the school year but they are set up and they use them regularly with teachers.

How do you have access to kids during this time?

For those of you who are looking to keep your students engaged in reading over the next few weeks, I thought I would share the BINGO boards I have been working on the last couple of days.

I created boards that are slightly different for multiage groups we have in our elementary school. Students have ACCESS to EPIC, Britannica, and World Book from their school devices. In addition at least some of our families have devices at home that can access the online collections at our public library. I’m also banking on kids reading or rereading books that are currently in their homes.

My idea is to keep kids engaged in reading throughout the rest of the school year.

If you don’t have Epic, it is currently free and will give kids access to books.
